As a high school athlete, my mission is to showcase my talent, work ethic, and dedication to the sports of football, wrestling, and track & field in order to earn the opportunity to play football at the collegiate level. I strive to excel academically, athletically, and personally, while demonstrating leadership both on and off the field. I am committed to pursuing my goals with integrity, resilience, and humility, always striving to improve and make a positive impact on my team and community.
My goal is to continue my athletic and academic career at the next level. Some important goals of mine while still attending high school include maintaining good grades and a high academic standard, staying physically active and honing my skill set, seeking out opportunities for athletic development such as training camps or club teams, networking with college coaches and exploring scholarship opportunities, and showcasing my talents through competitive performances at the high school level and beyond. Staying focused, dedicated, and proactive in pursuit of my collegiate athletic aspirations.
Setting the standard as a team leader requires guiding by example both on and off the field. I take my role as a team leader & Captain very seriously by demonstrating commitment, discipline, and good sportsmanship on a daily basis. It involves motivating and inspiring teammates to perform at their best, communicating effectively, and fostering a positive team culture built on trust, respect, and unity. Consistently holding oneself and others accountable, leading with integrity, and always striving for excellence. I believe these are all essential components of being a successful sports team leader. (Pictured leading the team in my routine pregame prayer)
I currently have a 3.8+ GPA by consistently demonstrating exceptional academic performance across my courses and maintaining a strong work ethic. At the conclusion of my 8th grade year I achieved an above the national average PSAT score of 1110 & as a Freshman in 9th grade I scored a 1240 PSAT score. I plan on taking the actual SAT & ACT each year of my high school career to reach an even better score and qualify for the National Merit Scholarship. My dedication to learning, efficient study habits, engagement in class discussions, active participation in assignments and projects, seeking help when needed, and prioritizing academic success have all contributed to this accomplishment. My ability to balance various responsibilities while excelling in my academic endeavors reflects my commitment to excellence and sets a solid foundation for my future pursuits. I wish to continue my education at the collegiate level and major in Special Education and Early Childhood Development.
As a Freshman & now Sopomore I am taking Advanced Placement course work with the intent to enter the IB program when it becomes available in order to accumulate as many college credits during my time in high school. This includes advanced mathematics, foreign language (Spanish), social studies, ELA, & science. By starting AP classes earlier I wish to build important skills that will help me succeed throughout high school and beyond. I will have more time to explore potential majors, careers, and opportunities to earn college credit and advanced placement. Entering college with credit I’ve already earned through AP will save me time, money, and may give me the flexibility to pursue a second degree, study abroad, change majors, or graduate early. I am currently on track to have enough HS credits that I could graduate at the end of my Junior year if inclined.
I am actively involved in multiple student organizations, including International Key Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Young Men In The Work Force, etc where I dedicate my time and efforts to contribute to various causes and initiatives. My favorite club is the LINKS Program where I was the only Freshman at Fenton High School to be a member. I am continuing to be a Link Mentor as a Sophomore. This is a program that means so much to me as I have the privilege to mentor my peers that may have been born autistic and other developmental disabilities to be independent across school, community and vocational routines. Just by being a part of this program has led me to want to pursue a career in education specializing in children with disabilities.

Hello! My name Hunter Anderson. I am 16 years old and live in Hartland Michigan. Some of my hobbies are hunting and fishing as well as spending time with my family. Some of my fondest memories are me and my Pa both hunting and fishing in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I love spending time with both my Mom and Dad and my two little sisters. Some of my other hobbies are working out. Working out has been a big part of my life and I workout 6-7 days a week every week. I am also heavily involved in a program i’m in called Links. The Links program is a program used to help kids with special needs and specifically autism, development social skills and study skills to help them in the real world. Though this is just a little synonymous of my life I hope you now come to understand me as a person a little bit more.

I love my family more than words can express. They have always been there for me through thick and thin, providing unwavering love, support, and guidance. From celebrating my achievements to comforting me in times of sorrow, my family has been my rock. Their unconditional love and acceptance mean the world to me, and I am endlessly grateful for the bond we share. Family is not just a group of people related by blood; they are my best friends, my confidants, and my biggest cheerleaders. I am truly blessed to have such an amazing family, and I cherish every moment I spend with them. My parents Mike & Bre have been married for close to 20 years. My Dad has been in the software development industry for as long as I can remember and owns his own development business with my Uncle. He is also an Ordained Officiant and performs wedding ceremonies throughout the year. He has been one of my Coaches my entire life. My Mom has been an elementary teacher for over 15 years now and is a Ferris State Alum. I have two amazing little sisters Ryleigh 11 & Finleigh who is almost 2 who are always in the stands and my biggest fans!

I am one of those rare athletes that actual loves my time in school. From learning new things, being able to interact with friends, participating in extracurricular activities, or receiving recognition for my achievements are all things I look forward to each week. School provides me a structured environment that allows for personal growth and development, enabling me to acquire knowledge and skills that can benefit me in the future. I am consistently in the top 5% of my class academically and I hope to graduate with high academic honors. I have accrued numerous certificates based on performance in the classroom. Some examples would be The Principles Award Nomination, P2 Award, Links Crew, Scholastic Honors, Social Studies, Mathematics, & Technology. I enjoy spending time talking to my counselors and have a great relationship with my school staff and admins. Mr. Halas a counselor at Fenton High has been very helpful on getting me started down the right track to being recruited. I hope to use these relationships and experiences in my college career to go after my goals.

Football appeals to me because of the intense passion, camaraderie, and skill that the game evokes. The thrill of the competition, the strategic maneuvers, and the physicality of the sport create a captivating spectacle that keeps me coming back for more. The sense of belonging to a community, the shared experiences with fellow fans, and the emotional rollercoaster of highs and lows all contribute to my love for football. Additionally, witnessing the dedication, perseverance, and talent of the players on the field is truly inspiring and fuels my admiration for the sport. As a Freshmen Varsity player I was blessed with extra time on the field to learn from my upperclassmen and coaching staff. I take these learning moments very seriously and store them in my memory bank to be put to use. I have been called the Swiss Army knife of Lineman due to my ability to play any position. I was a Center for many years before moving to Left Tackle & Guard. I also split time at Defensive Tackle & End. Depending on the teams need at the time they knew they could also count on me to be in the right position to help us succeed.

I began wrestling at the young age of 4 years old and knew this would be a staple platform in my life. Wrestling through the youth ranks and winning the State of Michigan 15U MMWA State HWT Championship! I am now the starting Varsity Heavyweight as a Freshmen. After 40+ matches this season I will finish with a winning record with 22+ wins and achieved several of my season goals. Coming in 5th place at the 26 team Joe Loren Memorial Individual Invitational, taking 4th Place at the toughest competition in MI at the Detroit Catholic Central Invitational, and helping my team win its first League Championship in 26 years! I also wrestle for a Nationally recognized travel club called Olympia Wrestling. We have traveled all over competing at the highest levels where I have earned an All American wrestling status, and placers at numerous tournaments. This summer we will be competing in Ohio, West Virginia, Indiana, and Florida and the Disney Duals.
High school wrestling is a sport that offers a unique combination of physical challenge, mental toughness, and team camaraderie that can create a sense of belonging and accomplishment. The intensity of the competition, the personal growth and discipline it fosters, and the support from coaches and teammates all contribute to the passion and love one may feel for the sport.

As I got older I learned to really love my time playing ball because it teaches fundamental skills such as hand-eye coordination, teamwork, and strategic thinking. It also promotes physical fitness and provides a fun and competitive environment for me to learn and grow. Additionally, baseball fosters valuable life lessons like discipline, perseverance, and sportsmanship that can benefit me both on and off the field.

Shot Put & Discus requires a combination of strength, technique, and precision to achieve maximum distance each throw. You must have a strong lower body and upper body strength to effectively propel the shot with speed and power, while also using proper footwork and body positioning to generate force and momentum. I believe all my time on the wrestling mat really helps me excel in this sport. Additionally, mental focus and concentration are crucial for success in this event, as the thrower must remain composed under pressure and execute their throw with accuracy and consistency. I use this mental focus everyday. This allowed me to place at districts in shot put and earn a spot throwing at the Metro League All Stars event!

From baseball, track, wrestling, flag football, tackle football, golf, camping, hiking, hunting, skeet, you name it we do it all! I think that playing a variety of sports as a child can have numerous benefits, such as improving physical fitness, developing coordination skills, fostering teamwork, and instilling discipline and perseverance. It also provides opportunities for social interaction and learning important life lessons about sportsmanship and determination. Overall, engaging in different sports activities at a young age can positively impact a child's physical, mental, and social well-being.

I am exited to announce that I have been selected to represent Underdog Athletic UDX as a national sponsored athlete. UDX is dedicated to helping Christian Athletes with the dreams and ambitions of playing at the next level! I plan to encourage my fellow student athletes to to find their voice in how they can represent their faith on & off the field!
I’m incredibly honored to share that I’ve been selected as an All-Conference Offensive Lineman in the Flint Metro League as a Center! This recognition means so much to me, especially since the nominees were voted on by the opposing coaches in our conference.
Being recognized among such talented players is both humbling and inspiring. I’m motivated to continue pushing myself and helping my team succeed. Here’s to more hard work and even greater achievements ahead! 💪
